OK, so I am not dead.  Hehe. I haven't updated this thing in forever.  Figures why I would decide to at 2:02 AM on a Sunday morning, but I'm bored and can't get to sleep.  January and February look like stressful months.  Homework, FAFSA, Scholarships, Toshiba Project, Yearbook, NHS.  OK, so I spent 4 hours this Friday editing some yearbook pages on the website.  I just can't say how much I hate the program they have.  It is EXTREMELY limited.  We should have definitely stayed with Herff-Jones, but I guess there is no turning back now.  Still, it is kind of crazy that half of the school year is over, and, we have barely submitted 4 pages, 2 of which are mine, plus the cover and the endsheets which I both designed.  This means that we have about 212 pages we have to finish ON/BEFORE March.

As far as college, I responded to my acceptance letter and sent the deposit for both my tuition and dormitory at Rice University before the turn of the year.  Now I am realizing that $32,000 per year is quite a considerable amount of money and that I am definitely going to be needing a hell of a lot of scholarships.

It really didn't feel like Christmas this year.  Although I must confess I got the best Christmas present ever:  the 5-hour-long double-sided DVD of "Lazos de Amor", my favorite of Lucero's soap operas.  It really shows how great of an actress she is, even though she is not recognized or known beyond Latin America.  It's a story about three sisters who are identical triplets, which are all played by Lucero.  As a result of an accident, they lose their parents, one of them is left blinded, another is lost, and the other grows up to be a psychopath.  I love this DVD.

What else can I say?  I am looking forward to graduating from high school although I must admit that I am a bit scared as to what lies ahead of me.  I am going to face new, greater challenges that I am sure I will overcome, but it is not going to be easy.
